Drag-minimized Design

An electric brake, the HBB disengages when the brake coil is powered and applies torque when power is removed. It features bronze friction discs that are suitable for wet or dry conditions, consistently transmitting torque over time. A unique separator spring design ensures the friction discs remain separated while the brake is disengaged. This design also eliminates parasitic drag, extending brake life and significantly improving overall thermal capacity.

The HBB brake is ideal for stopping, holding and positioning tasks in precision applications with tight installation spaces. Examples include medical diagnostic equipment, radar antennas and aerospace and defense actuators.
